Are you a graduate student or early-career researcher considering your next career move? With internationally renowned institutions, generous funding opportunities and a unique culture & lifestyle, Japan offers an exciting career experience for international researchers. ANZOR Japan is holding an online workshop for graduate students and early-career researcher from Australia, New Zealand and Oceania to promote Japan as your next career destination. In this workshop, you can learn about opportunities for postdoctoral fellowships, and engage with early-career researchers currently in Japan to learn from their experiences.

JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships

To promote international scientific cooperation, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) encourages highly qualified researchers from the world over to come to and conduct joint research activities with colleagues at Japanese universities and research institutes. JSPS offers five postdoctoral fellowship programs, each with different eligibility requirements.

RIKEN Programs for Junior Scientists

RIKEN is Japan's largest comprehensive research institution renowned for high-quality research in a diverse range of scientific disciplines. RIKEN provides opportunities to Early Career Researchers through initiatives such as the Special Postdoctoral Researcher (SPDR) program and the Hakubi Fellows Program.

Panel Discussion

A Panel of Australian and New Zealander early-career researchers will discuss their experiences in moving to, living and working in Japan. The panelists represent a diverse range of disciplines and career pathways. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions and engage in a dialog with the panel.
