Story Festival 2024: Nerikiri (Japanese Confectionery)

Nerikiri is an artistic confectionery which is moulded into natural shapes that relate to a season or event. In this workshop, you will create Sakura (cherry blossom) Nerikiri in accordance with the Spring in Japan. Join Minako to see, make, and taste the flavor of Japan! No knowledge or tools required... just your enthusiasm!

All Nerikiri are egg-free, gluten-free and vegan friendly.

Minako Stewart has completed courses in Nerikiri and Kimono. She conducts Nerikiri workshops, as well as kimono and tea ceremony classes at Budokan Tasmania Sakura Dojo: Hobart CBD. She's excited to share her passion about Japanese culture with you.

The workshop culminates in a shared meal (from 11.30am-12pm).
